Two Ways to Participate

Students can apply for one of two distinct tracks depending on their research experience and goals:

• Research Assistantship: You work directly on a Georgetown professor’s existing research. The professor serves as your primary summer mentor.
• Independent Project: You design and work on your own original research project. A Georgetown professor provides mentorship and guidance as you progress.

Eligibility Criteria

This program is inclusive but has strict enrollment rules. Please check if you qualify:

• Enrollment: You must be a currently enrolled Georgetown undergraduate. (Important: Graduating seniors are not eligible).
• Immigration Status: The fellowship is open to all current undergraduates regardless of immigration status.
• Exclusivity: You cannot hold another full-time summer job or another full-time research award while participating in this fellowship.
• Supplier ID: You must have a Georgetown Supplier ID established to receive payment.

Program Benefits

Aside from the $6,000 stipend, the program includes educational components to help you grow as a scholar: Skills Seminars: You will participate in a Zoom-based research skills development seminar throughout the summer. Peer Sessions: Students attend weekly peer-led recitation sessions to share progress and challenges.
