The Episcopal Church Foundation (ECF) has officially opened applications for the 2026 ECF Fellowship Partners Program. This long-standing initiative, active since 1964, supports scholars and ministry innovators who are shaping the future of The Episcopal Church.
For the 2026 cycle, ECF is introducing a brand-new Pilot Lay Leader Development Track. Depending on the track chosen, selected fellows can receive financial support of up to $15,000. If you are a lay or clergy leader looking to deepen your ministry or conduct vital research, this is a premier opportunity. The application deadline is March 18, 2026.

Available Fellowship Tracks
Applicants must apply to one of three specific tracks. Please choose the one that aligns with your current goals:
1. Academic Track Designed for those pursuing graduate or post-graduate studies. This track supports research in areas where The Episcopal Church needs to expand its scholarship and expertise.
2. Ministry Track For emerging ministry leaders who are developing innovative projects at the community or congregational level. The goal is to create adaptable models that strengthen local leadership.
3. Pilot Lay Leader Development Track (NEW) Launching in 2026, this track is for active lay members seeking formal training, licensure, or intensive formation programs. It aims to remove financial barriers for those looking to deepen their vocational development.
